Package Vacations from Transat Holidays
While most Canadian travellers are familiar with package vacations to sun destinations, most aren't aware that package vacations to popular European destinations are also available. These packages are extremely good value (particularly in spring and fall) as they combine airfare with well-located, vetted accommodation.
Of all the vacations to Greece that Transat Holidays offers one in particular is particularly attractive to gay and lesbian travellers. The Hellenic Harmonies Zeta trip is an 8 day/7night package that includes airfare from Toronto, all travel within Greece, 4 nights on Mykonos and 3 nights on Santorini.
Friday Departures: Depart Montreal Friday evening and arrive in Athens Saturday morning. Transfer to the port where you'll board a cruise ship for the 4 hour trip to Mykonos. (You do not have a cabin while on the cruise ship.) That afternoon check into your hotel for 4 nights (Saturday through Tuesday). On Wednesday transfer by high speed ferry from Mykonos to Santorini where you'll check into your hotel for 3 nights (Wednesday, Thursday and Friday). Saturday morning you'll fly from Santorini to connect in Athens to your flight home to Montreal arriving late Saturday afternoon.
Wednesday Departures: Depart Montreal Wednesday evening and arrive in Athens Thursday morning. Transfer to the port where you'll board a high speed ferry for the 2 hour trip to Mykonos. That afternoon check into your hotel for 4 nights (Thursday through Sunday). On Monday transfer by high speed ferry from Mykonos to Santorini where you'll check into your hotel for 3 nights (Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday). Thursday morning you'll fly from Santorini to connect in Athens to your flight home to Montreal arriving late Thursday afternoon.
These packages are offered with three levels of accommodation. Option 1 features 3 star hotels (the Kamari Beach in Mykonos and the Kallisti Thera in Santorini), Option 2 features 4 star hotels (the Yiannaki in Mykonos and the Santorini Palace in Santorini) and Option 3 features 5 star hotels (the Myconian Ambassador in Mykonos and the Majestic in Santorini). On some departures other hotels with the same star rating may be substituted. Breakfast is included at all hotels.
