You're probably know the big lesbian and gay cruise companies - Olivia, Atlantis and RSVP. But you many not know that there is a growing number of gay group departures on regular cruises that are well worth considering.
A group departure is exactly that - a group of between 20 and 250 gay and lesbian travellers on an everyday cruise departure. Usually there are a number of special events onboard for the group (e.g., a welcome cocktail party, other parties throughout the week, etc.) and arrangements are often made so that the group can dine together, often in a private area. Some of these departures are designed for particular groups like golfers so you can travel with other lesbians or gay men who share your particular interests. There are far more group departures than exclusively gay or lesbian cruises so you have more options to choose from plus you get a lower group price making these departures much more affordable.
